Borer control

Schiffli machines have built-in borer knives under the needle line which can cut different sized holes in fabric. The Schiffli borer knife has four edges. ES Schiffli controls Borer In/Out by means of ‘object properties’. With Borer In selected, each needle penetration point becomes a borer hole, regardless of the selected stitch type.

Borer depth is relevant only to designs digitized using ES Schiffli. You can control borer depth by entering the specific depth value. The depth, and hence the size of the hole being cut, can be controlled by up to 13 increments.
